O Tranquil Light, Світло Tихе - Byzantine Hymn from Vespers
This hymn is taken from the vespers service in the Byzantine rite (Catholic and Orthodox). Tranquil Light, also known as O Gladsome Light or O Joyful Light, would be sung at vespers service at the Entrance of the Gospel Book. This version is in Ukrainian and with the traditional Galician (from western Ukraine) melody. The Ukrainian lyrics and an English translation follow:

I wish all priests were trained in Gregorian chant so they could sing this beautiful chant at catholic funerals. The last few catholic funerals I attended incense wasn't even used. Sad to see the Church losing these beautiful traditions within the sacred liturgy.

I've coped, and been through it at all, and even considered leaving the church. However, at some point it begins not to bother you anymore. Lord, all I want and desire is you. "To whom shall we go? you have the words of enteral life." St. Peter said these words to you, and now I say them to you. Lord Jesus, have mercy on us, and I pray you will restore your church and you will not forget your unending love and kindness towards us. It seems like everything is so lost, and that there is no hope. However, I trust in you, and no matter what these passing things are, they are finite, and you are infinite. I trust in you.

I am spreading the word about this corrupt Catholic school, Raimondi College, in Hong Kong. The discipline master, S.K.
